Today we received a card in the mail. In it contained the biggest blessing ever. This is just one of the many blessings we have received from friends and family. Meals, cards, donations and other acts of service, have helped us so much through this tough time. I am in awe at the generosity! Trever and I pray daily for those who have sacrificed for our family. We pray that The Lord pours his choicest blessing upon those that have blessed our lives. You are truly angels on earth. Sent to be His hands, to bless the lives of others. Thank you!!!!
My dear friend Kami came to visit this morning. She brought this cute baby book for Caleb. It was so nice to talk to her and catch up. It has been ages! Almost right after she left, my mom stopped by for a visit. She has been such a blessing to our family. The girls have really enjoyed their grandma time, and Trever has appreciated being able to get caught up on some business stuff and get a few jobs done. Later tonight, my brother Chad and his family stopped by. They brought me flowers. I love flowers! We also played "scum" and "gold fish" it was so fun! The last time they came they brought me a big poster with a cute note and drawings on it. It's hanging up on my wall. Tonight they wrote on my patient board. You know, the one with the date, nurses names etc? They said my goal today was to eat weasel cookies. They crack me up!
Chad's wife Mindy has been bringing in meals each week, for quite a while now. It has been such a blessing. Trever has been able to focus on the kids, homework, housework, job etc a lot easier because of all of the meals. She takes a day, my mom takes one along with babysitting one to two times a week, my dear friend Jennifer takes the kids and provides dinner each week, the ward takes a day and my dear cousin Stephanie take a day to bring in dinners. What a huge blessing this has been ladies!
My dear brother Jace has been out collecting donations for our benefit yard sale. Along with other ward members making signs and providing donations to sell. It has all been such a blessing! There are so many more things like this that have made our burdens lighter. Thank you thank you thank you. From comments on here, phone calls and texts, and visitors, to meals, donations, unexpected checks and pay pals etc. you have all been Angels to our little family. Thanks again!

My name is Jennie. I'm a wife and a mother. I have been married to the man of my dreams, Trever, for 9 wonderful years. We have 5 beautiful daughters who fill our lives with joy and excitement. We just had our 6th child. Our son Caleb.
I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Placenta Accreta along with Placenta Previa. Accreta is a condition where the placenta attaches to the scar tissue in the uterus. It will often continue to grow to deeper tissue (increta) and even through the uterus attaching to other organs(percreta). I ended up having an 11 hour surgery, including a hystorectomy, and bladder repair. I received 7 units of blood and blood parts. (This is a lot of blood loss for my surgeons, but minimal blood loss to those who are not as experienced in these deliveries. I spent 36 hours in the ICU after surgery. I have also had many other complications afterwards including another minor surgery 2 weeks later. These complications are somewhat normal for the type of surgery I had.
I had a team of specialists doing my surgery. Obgyns, Gyno-oncologists, trauma surgeons, urologists and anesthesiologists. This team has specialized in techniques helping with minimal blood loss. Those with accreta , loose large amounts of blood because the placenta cannot detach naturally at delivery.
My goal is to help save women's lives by giving this terrible condition a voice. So many are ignorant to its fatal attack. Doctors and women alike, need to be educated about Accreta. Many have never even heard of it. The numbers are on the rise because of so many women choosing to have c-sections when it isn't necessary. Not all women can avoid it, but many can. Please help me give Accreta a voice, by sharing the information in this blog. (There are numerous posts with information on Accreta as well as the Accreta team who took such great care of me.)
