I really need to come up with better post titles! Seriously.
It looks like the lastest official date, is back to the 8th. All of the doctors are on board, not sure if it is scheduled with the operating room (OR) yet. That put us at 32 weeks and 2 days. My nesting mode has kicked in now and I am going crazy not being able to nest. I have hardly anything ready for this little man to come home! Good news is, I'll probably have a month to two months to get organized after delivery. Bad news is, that he will be here in the hospital that whole time instead of home with me. :-(
I have been crazy (yes I admit it) lately with worry about how to juggle all of the stress of recovering, being close to my kids, who aren't allowed to see the baby till he is out of NICU, being close to Trever and the baby all at once. It has been such a long time away from my kids and Trever that the thought of being away for longer was so hard to handle emotionally. I have been on bed rest for 14 weeks now. But the travel back and forth (2 hours round trip) would be too much for me to handle with my recovery physically. It sounds like this surgery is much more than a regular c-section.
I've been asking around and getting lots of advice from the nurses and from friends. I have also been looking into other peoples experiences with the roller coaster. It has become pretty evident that financially, the next few months are going to be extra tough. We are super blessed to have insurance to take care of us with hospital stuff. There are a couple things they may not cover that we would have to pay for. But I never realized how quickly the outside expenses add up when you are in a situation like this. Especially for a whole month. Possibly two.
My brother suggested that we do a benefit garage sale to raise money to help cover these expenses. I have been able to help out with some of these for friends, but never knew how hard it would be to expect this kind of help for myself.
So anyway, we are going to go for it. If anyone that has things that they want to get rid of, we would be most grateful to take it off your hands. We have family coming in this weekend, for my oldest daughters baptism. So that is our main focus this week, but we can start collecting Monday etc. of next week.
Here is the information for the baptism:
It's going to be Saturday march 2nd.
In skyline ranch. Hunt highway and Gary rd in San tan valley.
Starting at 7 am most likely.
If you would like to donate time or items etc... You can email my brother at jacesanders@gmail.com
Thanks so much everyone! I hope to be able to pay it forward to other accreta survivors in the future!

My name is Jennie. I'm a wife and a mother. I have been married to the man of my dreams, Trever, for 9 wonderful years. We have 5 beautiful daughters who fill our lives with joy and excitement. We just had our 6th child. Our son Caleb.
I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Placenta Accreta along with Placenta Previa. Accreta is a condition where the placenta attaches to the scar tissue in the uterus. It will often continue to grow to deeper tissue (increta) and even through the uterus attaching to other organs(percreta). I ended up having an 11 hour surgery, including a hystorectomy, and bladder repair. I received 7 units of blood and blood parts. (This is a lot of blood loss for my surgeons, but minimal blood loss to those who are not as experienced in these deliveries. I spent 36 hours in the ICU after surgery. I have also had many other complications afterwards including another minor surgery 2 weeks later. These complications are somewhat normal for the type of surgery I had.
I had a team of specialists doing my surgery. Obgyns, Gyno-oncologists, trauma surgeons, urologists and anesthesiologists. This team has specialized in techniques helping with minimal blood loss. Those with accreta , loose large amounts of blood because the placenta cannot detach naturally at delivery.
My goal is to help save women's lives by giving this terrible condition a voice. So many are ignorant to its fatal attack. Doctors and women alike, need to be educated about Accreta. Many have never even heard of it. The numbers are on the rise because of so many women choosing to have c-sections when it isn't necessary. Not all women can avoid it, but many can. Please help me give Accreta a voice, by sharing the information in this blog. (There are numerous posts with information on Accreta as well as the Accreta team who took such great care of me.)
